The Youth Affordable Housing Coalition (YAHC) is a statewide, youth-led organization dedicated to addressing the housing crisis through policy advocacy, research, and grassroots organizing. We believe that stable and affordable housing is a foundation for educational opportunity, economic mobility, and community well‑being.
As the generation being actively priced out of Massachusetts, we are fighting the artificial scarcity that threatens our future. We are bringing fresh perspectives and data-driven solutions to ensure young people can afford to stay, work, and build their lives in the Commonwealth.
Moving beyond rhetoric, YAHC bridges the gap between grassroots urgency and legislative mechanics. From expediting permitting times to reforming student housing finance, we translate complex housing data into actionable legislative frameworks that work for everyone.
By conducting rigorous statutory research and collaborating with industry experts, we are actively drafting the blueprints to dismantle the legal and financial barriers to housing production.
Our Core Pillars:
Advocacy: We push for bold housing solutions at the state and local level.
Research: We produce youth-focused policy analysis to shape real change.
Organizing: We mobilize students and young adults to take collective action.
Partnerships: We collaborate with community organizations, universities, and policymakers.
